High School Students Bored, Considering Dropping Out

According to a survey of 81,000 high school students in the United States conducted by the Indian University, 75 percent felt the class were boring, while 22 percent considered dropping out of school. The study recommended more student teacher interactions to attract students' attention.

Chinese students, who fought to catch up with the materials may feel overwhelmed, but never bored. However, it's the educators attitude of ignoring solving the big problem, that's why US will fall. The educators and policy makers must realize that there's only so much an educator can do on a student. If the people does not feel the urge or need to learn, you can never teach them anything.
