Locals Lined Up Embracing New Year
Locals in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province holding big containers lined up for delicious soy sauce and vinegar made by a historic producer Hengshun Group. It has been a tradition to purchase soy sauce from this place, because of its reputation of good tasting soy sauce brewed in traditional methods. Chinese had long passed days when they had to wait in queue for scarce resources. However, getting beloved soy sauce has become a new year tradition for locals. Hengshun Group is most known for its Zhenjiang Fragrant Vinegar, a kind of rice vinegar, around the globe.
In the first half day, 6.5 tons of vinegar and 30 tons of soy sauce was sold to about 10 thousands individual buyers. The Chinese New Year which is based on lunar calendar will be on Jan 26, 2009.
