The incident has a new twist when a representative of the Endless Forest Company called the Morning News (link contains pictures may not be suitable for people under 21 years old) from the US in an effort to clarify some 'culture differences'. Mr. Lee sent the reporter some child porn pictures he found on US porn site to show that it's legal in the US.
The child porn sites were registered by the Endless Forest Inc. The suspect of the alleged child porn case, Mr. Yan Gaofei, is the president of the Endless Forest Company according to the company's website as well as Mr. Yan's now defunct website.
According to this Mr. Lee, the child porn site is perfectly legal according to US laws as a US based porn site. The reasons are: 1) Although the students were underage (age 12-16), but the principle of the school was aware of the picture taking; 2) Child porn is legal in the US, as long as their parents or their teachers consent; 3) Pictures with similar contents could be found on many US porn sites; 4) The site was in the US, so Chinese government do not have jurisdiction, even though it violated Chinese laws.
The Seagull has no legal capacity to verify whether it's legal or not in the US. If reader are familiar with the US regulation on Child porn, please enlighten us with your comments.
The principle of the aforementioned school denied acknowledge of the shooting of porn pictures.
The Chinese government of Henan Province told reporters that the school was not registered with the government in the year of 2004 when this happened. Therefore the government was not liable.
