Jiang Zemin, Li Peng Wanted by Spanish Court

Spain's National Court has issued arrest warrants for former Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Premier Li Peng, as well as three other officials for their role in alleged genocide in Tibet.

Former President Hu Jintao is also under the same investigation, but is not facing arrest at this time.

Spain National Court claims jurisdiction over severe human rights violations even outside its territories on the principle of universal jurisdiction.

Chilean dictator General Pinochet was indicted for human rights violations by Spanish magistrate Baltascar Garzon in 1998. Six days later, he was arrested in a hospital in London by British police acting on a request from Spain.

Beauty and Beasts

The 'girl' in the central with khata is Tian Wen, a Beijing native who came to Lhasa after graduated from Renmin University in Beijing and committed her life there. The oil painting "Cheers Lhasa!" was a work of Yu Xiaodong of his artists friends in Lhasa.

Between early 80s to early 90s, many college graduates artists went to Lhasa, the last clean world to find their dream. Most of them had left by now, and some of them died there, including the girl Tian Wen. They were mostly forgotten, except beautiful Tian, who died in 1987 at age of 29.

According to Yu Xiaodong, every details and specifics are meaningful. Yu is entitled to be the only male among many to stand by our beauty, with the only exception of an intruding arm of Li Yuan from the back row. Li Yuan's book was seen covering a closed up Tian Wen's work in missionary position. There's a middle finger from a chopped off left hand pointing to the beauty.

Tian's legal husband, Ye Nong, a Beijing musician who also volunteered to go to Tibet was excluded from this group portrait.

The painting assembled an amazing collection of notable artists in Lhasa during the 1980s. At the time, Lhasa was a notable plateau in the movement of Chinese artists embracing western influences. There are glories and stories behind each and everyone who appears, but all that remembered by themselves is this woman.

The world is being made by women. History is known because of beautiful women.

About Tian Wen:

--dokknife

About her death:

--dokknife

That Flag of Terror

In the global economy downturn, people and politicians alike are looking for a top point to vent. Some found China an easy target. Face it, the Communism government has trouble writing all over its body, like a 30 years tattoo artist who has no inches of skins haven't been inked. However, Tibetan issue is not one of the crimes committed by the communism reign.

Despite historic ties and records, Tibet has been under the China central government for hundreds of years, and there's no pragmatic point to challenge this status guo, unless you are willing to fight the People's Liberation Army. Unlike 20 years ago, In this battle, the PLA will be fighting for a cause which ordinary Chinese and Tibetan people will swear by it, and stand by it.

The Associated Press quoted a western protester dressed in costumes in London saying, 'I can hold this flag here, but a Tibetan person couldn't hold their flag in their country.' The orange flag with a lion standing in front of snow mountains was banned in China territory. Anyone who display such a flag will get into trouble from Chinese police.

However, what the protester does not know is what the flag represents in Tibetan history. The flag is associated with the darkest time in Tibet. It is a reminder of hatred, killing, blood and torture. Under the slavery system, a landlord or a monk would make a leader decoration out of a slave alive on a good day. Westerner do not think why monks are most enthusiastic on the 'free' Tibetan, and most Tibetan people living in Tibet are against it. Nobody would be against 'freedom', ordinary Tibetan people are against violence, hatred, torture and bloodshed.

For Chinese people, including those Tibetan natives living in Tibet, The flag is not a symbol of 'freedom', but a symbol of terror. Banning a flag of terror is the right thing any government are mandate to do, regardless whether it's a communism government, or a western government. The flag quote shows the AP reporter 'Jennifer Peltz' either lack of fundamental knowledge of Tibet, or an evil taste of blood (of peaceful Tibetan people).

The Line between China and India

China has boarder disputations with almost every single one of its more than a dozen neighbors. There are two reasons: 1) As a single center force in the region, in tradition China does not have an idea on legal boarders. The world is comprised of two parts, those China care to rule directly, and those that China doesn't bother to rule directly. Even the latter one can only survive when they recognize China's dominance. There's no point to draw a specific line from China's point of view. 2) The last Chinese empire collapsed inwards so rapidly that the actually controlled line of China fell far back to whatever legal or pseudo legal agreements that may have existed. Although in theory China still claims a big territory, but the actual controlled land is far less smaller.

A big part of Tibet, almost all of the agricultural land of Tibet, are now controlled by India. Around 2003-2005, China and India made an deal that Indian would keep quiet about the legal status of Indian controlled Chinese land (so that it may be challenged in the future), while China would recognize India's control over Sikkim. Sikkim used to be a sovereign kingdom under Chinese protection. India took over the place in 1975 with military force, and made it part of India. However, China did not recognize India's ruling until 2005. A document showed Chinese government instructed map be redrawn.

Rumor on the Internet had it that China was moving troops to the disputed boarder, a gesture that China was not happy after India tried to legalized the actual controlling of this land. Chinese are feeling being cheated by the Indian.

In an unrelated note, for the first time in history and finally, the UK explicitly recognised China's sovereignty over Tibet. Foreign Secretary David Miliband issued a statement, 'Like every other EU member state, and the United States, we regard Tibet as part of the People's Republic of China.' Before this, the British has been the only major country in the world that hadn't make a clear acknowledgement of the Chinese ruling in Tibet, but rather resort the Sino-Tibetan relationship to an obscured word 'sovereignty', which was a reflection of the British's view of ever expanding of the kingdom in the 1900s.

Too Hot to Be Hungry

About 30 protesters sponsored who had been conducting a hunger strike relay in Nepal protesting Chinese policy in Tibet called off the show citing bad weather. The hunger strike was sponsored by the Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC), a terrorists organization who had claimed responsibility for many bombs and riots in China and India. According to the group leader Nyima Dolkar, participants felt fatigue and uncomfortable in hot weather. When the relay started two months ago, they vowed to "continue our hunger strike relay until our demands are met". Usually people with an empty stomach felt uncomfortable in cold weather, maybe these group of protesters were inexperienced and consumed too much calorie between two shifts.

Adviser Fed Up with Clinton's 'Gratuitous China Bashing'

Dr. Richard Baum, a UCLA professor, resigned role as a political adviser to the Clinton campaign in protest of the campaign's 'gratuitous China bashing'. There's an interesting reading on the UCLA site, titled: Ten Questions for Richard Baum.

Clinton is the first candidate in the election year to urge Bush to boycott the 2008 Olympic Game to be held in Beijing, and boasted herself as 'the only candidate who isn't just talking about cracking down on China but I have a specific plan on how to do it'. Alike the 'change' for the Obama campaign, the sale point of the Clinton campaign is her 'experience'. In the past year or so, the Clinton campaign has been caught wet hand repeatedly on their characterization of Clinton's 'experience'. In one incident, Senator vividly depicted a scenario when she had to bent over and rush down a runway to dodge sniper bullets. It turned out, first by witness and later by document file record that there was a big welcome ceremony on the runway. Mrs Clinton was seen on the film walking down the red carpet to kiss a little girl with flowers waiting on the other side. It is not a new problem for the Clinton to make up experience, but what is more toxic is the history she made up on the side.

Elite Overseas Chinese Disappointed the West

A true herolne. The 27 years old Shanghai girl's name is Jin Jing. Jing lost her right leg in childhood due to a malicious tumor. Jing grew up an Olympic athlete despite the physical challenge. When being asked afterwards what did she think when attached by Tibetan mobs, she said 'they will get the Olympic torch over my dead body'.

Elite Overseas Chinese disappointed the West. MITBBS, the largest online community of Chinese students in the US was almost stalled by the flooding of angry anti West protests.

The overseas Chinese community was awaken, and San Fransisco board became the front line of the battle field. $12,875.45 were raised overnight to assist poor students from remote states to travel to San Francisco on the torch relay day, April 9th, 2008.

Chinese all over the world were shocked when they watched the torch relay girl on the wheelchair was beaten by western sponsored 'Tibetan Independence' mobs. They were shocked when the mayor of Paris mocked the Chinese ambassador in front of the city hall. Fashion girls and office ladies vowed to boycott French product for five years. Thousands and thousands Chinese poured in San Francisco to celebrate the Olympic torch relay, chanting 'This is not Paris'. Hundreds of SF residents volunteered to make boarding available for out of towners. The site even managed to get two airplanes flying with banners of the Olympic flags.

Not everyone supports the ruling communism government in China, many deliberately fled from it. However, all were shocked by the hostile shown by the West towards the Olympic Game to be held in Beijing which is seen and felt as an insult to the Chinese. This is no return point, and the West just lost all credits it has accumulated. The West just accomplished one thing that the communism propaganda department had dreamed for 20 years, that was to make the younger and elite Chinese hate the West.

Tibetan Monks

When Tibetan monks told you they were Buddhism, it should be taken with a grain of salt. A real Buddhist does not kill or eat meat. In Tibet, monks use poor people's blood, flesh and bone in formal ceremony. Fresh bone, that it is.

While the western media were excited on the China's bloody crack down of a peaceful protest led by Tibetan monks, evidents shown that the Chinese government exercised maximum restraint in using any brute force to disperse the protest, often possible only with sacrifice of young police officers and soldiers. It was just reported another policeman died in a riot in Ganzi, Sichuan.

A photo shows Tibetan monks 'protesting'. There's no such thing as 'Tibetan Monks', but only 'Tibetan Mobs', for real if ask any Buddhists.

The Liars Work for Washington Post

'The Post', as people in the region refers to the Washington Post, has a reputation in news reporting, (most recently) with habitual lying.

In the screen shot captured from the official website of the Washington Post, three components can be read by viewers: The article on the riots broke out in Lhasa, a picture showing police dispersing protesters with wooden sticks, and the caption of the picture: "Chinese police rounded up Tibetans in the Tibetan capital city of Lhasa".

The problem is that the "police" were waring a uniform never seen in China. For a few readers who actually know the nuances in the uniform, it's more than clear which direction the Fan is trying the spin the news towards.

Perhaps it's a typo, or honest mistake made in the middle night after an exhausting long day?

Disappointedly, it turned out this is a deliberate spinning of fact executed by the Washington Post, and specifically the case reporter, Maureen Fan. When approached by concerned readers regarding the mismatching of photos and the caption, Fan replied '..the photo CLEARLY says it was taken in Nepal....'. Is that a joke?

Mareen Fan is not a stranger in news media, having joined the Washington Post in 2004. Readers have seen worse in terms of information spinning in the name of journalism, but a blunt lie with no intention of covering up is still rare. What a disgrace to her parents, to her alta mater, to women journalists, and to the human being to have a lair like Maureen Fan. The Washington Post website says Fan is covering China events in Beijing. Based on what we have seen, what we have read, and what we have heard from Fan, Washington Post's news license should have been revoked.

Where did she get her degree in mass communication? Who was her adviser? Just curious.

A Letter from Tibet

The riot was very well organized and erupted simultaneously all across the city in a sudden. It appears the central government hid the real civilian causalities for fear of provoking larger scale of outcry. There are more than 180 residents killed by the mob in March 14 alone. Military forces entered Lhasa on March 15, and the situation was stabilized in March 16.

What Matters (China) ?

What matters for China? The Summer Olympic Game to be held in Beijing on August 8, 2008.

The first ever Summer Olympic to be held in Beijing is the Achilles' heel of the Beijing government, and everyone in the world are seeing that and take advantage that.

Last week, an Eastern Turkestan terrorist attempted burning down a flight from Urumqi to Beijing. At this time, police and military force in Tibet bounded by strict order of no arm could be used, have to watch behind shields when shops are burning down, and innocent people killed on the street by Tibetan mobs. Next week, the Taiwan is going to test a referendum towards declaring independence, a step the Beijing government opposes and has vowed military reaction.

What if, let's say forget about the Olympic? National Security First!
